Thorsten Leighty's culinary journey began in Wiesbaden, Germany, where he honed his skills crafting meals for large family gatherings. Now, as Executive Chef at the New Orleans Marriott, he orchestrates a renowned culinary team in the heart of the French Quarter, serving up to 2,500 meals daily. With a decade of experience in Michelin-starred European kitchens, Leighty ventured to the U.S. at 25, working under German Master Chef Joachim Splichal at Patina in L.A. Later, as Executive Sous Chef at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, he catered to Hollywood's elite, including luminaries like Tom Hanks and President Clinton.
