With a nickname like the “US Smile Capital,” Pocatello makes our hotel guests feel welcome in this Idaho town.
At Pocatello’s centre is Idaho State University, home to the Holt Arena, the Stephens Performing Arts Center and the Idaho Museum of Natural History, where permanent exhibit topics include the history of the Snake River Plain. While folks used to travel along the Oregon Trail to get to Pocatello, hotel guests today can select from a multitude of highways, or simply fly over the nearby Rocky Mountains.
Families will love the Museum of Clean. Not to be confused with a museum about cleaning, this 75,000-square-foot, hands-on museum focuses on everything that effects life - clean minds, clean homes, clean language, clean community and a clean world. The expansive Ross Park provides a variety of entertainment for guests staying in one of our Pocatello accommodation. Ross Park features an aquatic complex and the Bannock County Historical Museum, including the Fort Hall Replica. And children will especially enjoy playground equipment, the skate park and Pocatello Zoo, whose inhabitants include golden eagles, mule deer and grizzly bears. South of the park, visitors can relax and play a few rounds at the Riverside Municipal Golf Complex.
After a full day, before returning to their accommodation in Pocatello, guests gravitate to the city centre’s Main Street or up to Yellowstone Avenue to choose from a selection of Italian and Chinese cuisines, as well as more local fare, such as the Sandpiper Restaurant, or a cold brew at Portneuf Valley Brewing.
