Great Quiet Location, Close to dining
This location is in a quiet spot near to so many restaurants and stores - wish I had more time to explore Oshkosh. Had such a good nights sleep - no lumps - the bedding was like sleeping on a cloud. Great variety for breakfast to start our day. Didn't interact with the staff much - but they seemed friendly and helpful.

Worst Accommodations Ever!!!
Waited 3 minutes for clerk to appear at front desk. Hotel was deserted. Was given 3rd floor room directly across from elevator. Carpets were wet. No hot water in the building. The clerk told me neither of these things. Since I booked through a third party, I had to handle everything through them. They moved us to a different hotel after confirming these issues with the Fairfield at 8 pm with two children in tow. No apology, no return call from hotel manager. Worst kind of treatment I have ever received. Employee at front desk should be ashamed that he checked us in without notifying us! Manager should be ashamed that she didn't return a phone call to discuss.

No hot water. Not fixed when promised. No updates or concern. No timely warning.
I had no hot water the entire week. I only had cold showers from Monday all the way until I left Friday. This kept me up late every night and kept me from getting sleep or being my best for my work in Wisconsin for the first time. There was an email sent Monday to my business email that I can only view from my laptop and it was sent after I was already on a plane on my way there. So, I didn't even know about the hot water issue until I got into the shower Monday night. I called the front desk Monday night to let them know and that's when they said the hot water is broke and that an email was sent out a few hours before my arrival. They assured me that the hot water would be fixed the next day, Tuesday, before I got back from my workday. I got back from work Tuesday night to find another cold shower. Nothing had been fixed, no updates were given, and I was just left wondering why nothing was being done. It stayed that way for my entire stay. Not even another random email was sent....NOTHING..the hotel staff was missing in action. There was never anyone at the front desk. They were always hiding in the back and would not show up until you yelled loud enough to wake them up or whatever they were doing. I had to make this reservation weeks ahead of time for my work at the local airport. A random email that I can't see a few hours before my check-in just doesn't cut it. I don't have time to deal with hotel incompetency and I certainly didn't have time to make last second changes to a government per diem reservation that many hotels won't accommodate unless made weeks ahead of time. My stay can be summed up as incompetent, uncaring hotel staff, broken promises, and a bad first impression of Wisconsin.

Fairfield Inn/Suites Oshkosh
The hotel room was clean, the staff friendly. The rooms are pretty standard as far as look and feel. Consistent to Marriott. The feeling of the furniture is that it is a little older. My room unfortunately, had a funny musty smell that some of my clothes carried home. But overall, it was a fine stay

Sleepless in Oshkosh
As a loyal Marriott customer and part owner of a Minnesota Marriott Fairfield I note that the the facility, breakfast , staff, cleanliness met expectations. Unfortunetly our room at 218 was below a very unrespectful guest. The stomping on the ceiling began at 6 AM and was intermittent and sounded like a very large person making multiple trips to and fro. About the time my wife and I would drift back to sleep another procession would occur. We were in Oshcosh for a wedding and having traveled from Minnesota, up late and wanting a restful nights sleep we were very disappointed in the rudeness and lack of respect demonstrated by our neighbors. A long drive back to Minnesota, sleep deprived and frustrated tainted the weekend experience. I could of intervened/ called but the intermittent nature and the belief that the behavior had to end ( or had ended at times) drove me back under the covers.
