I stayed at the Renaissance attending a conference for two days. The conference hosted a luncheon that was provided by the hotel. The food was fine the issue I had were the servers, who are quite rude and inattentive. A specific incidence that I would like to mention was when dessert was being served. I really enjoyed my dessert and noticed that several individuals turned down their offer for dessert. I asked my server if it would be possible for me to have seconds, he loudly and promptly said "No" and no explanation and walked off. This was very humiliating as it was heard and witnessed by all at our table. Several of the attendees who observed the interaction could not understand what the issue was as there were plenty of leftovers. A gentleman who had been served his dessert but had not touched it yet offered his to me, but I graciously declined as I no longer had any interest in dessert. I understand that there maybe a policy of not offering seconds due to lack of availability to others or that simply it was the hotels policy, however, my issue was the rudeness of the server and just the way it was handled at my embarrassment! We were given a survey by the organization that hosted the conference and I conveyed this same complaint and issue with them as this is a conference that's hosted every year which I attend and I have to say that this was the worst experience in the 6 years attending this conference. Another issued I would like to express is that our two day conference was held in one of the hotel's meeting rooms and it was very very noisy and you can hear employees and guest in the hallways or when hotel staff would deliver and set up snacks and beverages throughout the days. I hope the hotel can come up with a better solution to minimize noise and loud interruptions. Thank you for your time.

Dated SMELLY Room
I stayed at the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel November 12-14. They gave my reserved room away and put me in a smaller room. Told me they were sold out and that was they only room they had to offer. The room has a HORRIBLE moldy mildew smell that left me very congested the following day. The room service food was way over priced and not good.

Be aware of hotel maintenance notice
Hotel was under renovation which our conference was told of in advance. However, only half the elevators were working, the room knocking started promptly at 8 am, water became unavailable for at least our entire floor for 6 hours and a host of other issues. Check out process is greatly hampered due to lack of enough staff to accommodate large groups.

Great place to stay when in Dallas area.
I was here for a business conference. The conference facilities were excellent, and the on-site restaurants had great food and service. It is a little bit far from DFW airport - $30 Uber x- but it was worth it in my view.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!
My stay was horrible!!! Check-in was ok. The front desk staff was friendly. I was informed that they were doing construction on the hotel but never thought it would be horrible like it was. When I got to my room, the room smelled like mildew. My bedding had mold stains on them & we had to call housekeeping to come & change the linens on the bed. Then upon trying to go out of our patio door, we were unable. We had to call front desk to get someone to come & open the door. The engineer opened it & told us that we couldn't lock the door, we had to latch it instead. Even with doing that, we still had to call engineering again to come open the door because it kept getting stuck & wouldn't open. We tried to turn the heat on in the room & the heater would not work. We had to call maintenance yet again to come & fix the heat. The closet door kept falling off track & we had to get them to fix that as well. Water was turned off during our stay & we had to go back downstairs just to use water or the restroom. MAJOR inconvenience!!!!!!!! TV kept cutting off on it's on despite us pushing buttons on the remote to keep it on. The volume kept going up on its on even when the remote was no where near our hands. Internet was NOT free & my phone was charged for usage during the entire week. The towels were molded as well & we had to have those replaced. The Starbucks in the hotel had a sign advertising "Strawberries & Cream Fraps". When I tried to order this, they told me that they did not have the stuff to make it. Later on that afternoon, a different worker was working & I asked him to make me one & he made something & charged me for the frap. I went back that afternoon not knowing that what he gave me earlier was not the correct thing that I requested. The next day, I went back to order the same thing & again the staff was really rude about it. I did not get anything that I ordered nor anything that was posted outside the store. If they didn't have the ingredients to make what they were advertising, they didn't need to advertise it. The male bartender was rude. We were standing at the bar to order a drink & someone else walked up after us & they tried to take their order before ours. The other customer called the bartender out about skipping over us & he went ahead & took our order. When I called to see if we could have late check-out due to being at the conference, I was told "absolutely not!" They offered to hold my bags & I responded back w
