Quiet home away from home
I have only stayed in billeting on an Army post where I had a kitchen with a sitting area and bed. This room had a kitchen with full-size refrigerator, a microwave oven, a hot-plate-style stove, sink and garbage disposal, as well as a dishwasher. The cupboards had bowls, plates, utensils, Pyrex bowls for storage, glasses and mugs, as well as a measuring cup, serving spoons, and pots and pans. I make oatmeal everyday so I was happy, and they have a toaster, so I could make English muffins as well. We had a king-size Serta Concierge Suite II bed that was divine. In fact, I've decided to call Serta to find the exact one to purchase after sleeping on it for three nights. We did notice old stains on the fold-out sofa bed inside the couch. We left that alone. Also, you have to be out of the room by noon for housekeeping to clean. We had one day without housekeeping as a result of leaving probably after 12:30 p.m.; otherwise, our room was pristine when we returned in the evening. The room is very quiet considering it's location near a busy road like Arlington. The only problem we experienced was the heavy smell of smoke from cigarettes or cigars. The smell was in the bathroom area and there wasn't much we could do we realized. How would we locate the smokers really? These were all non-smoking rooms. We brought our dog with us and noticed our floor had other canine guests, but you couldn't tell until you walk down the hallway. It seriously is so quiet. All in all, I highly recommend Residence Inn Akron South/Green.

My stay was excellent
Well there was a young man I wish I knew his name but he works 2nd shift on fridays he was so above an beyond helping me find my room an also helping me with taking out my trash! Even after I was so needy he asked if there was anything else he could do! He also helped me suprise my husband with getting a room an playing along! This hotel is fabulous!!

Modern and Functional
I've been working on my dissertation and I needed someplace where I could literally sequester myself and write. I didn't want to spend a lot of time on the road or a lot of money. I used my Marriott rewards points and found a handful of local properties. I think I've stayed at a Residence Inn once, in Indianapolis and it was outdated and felt dirty. But I decided to give the property in Akron/Green a shot after looking at another local Residence Inn. It felt risky because there are only 3 photos on the Marriott reservation site. Maybe that contributed to my pleasant surprise. I was surprised from the moment I walked in to the lobby. It's the modern, clean Marriott feel that I expect of the brand. The room layout was super functional and was exactly what I needed to stay focused. Gave me room to work-out. Gave me easy access to the back of the TV so I could plug in my Amazon Fire stick. The kitchen was functional and I loved the kitchen bar. The couch is an ingenious way to hide a bed. And it was comfortable. All around, brilliant use of the space.

3.5 - could have been a 4
I regularly stay at this Residence Inn when I travel through Akron; this time was not quite up to the same standard. I’ll go back but will be a little less confident that hotel can live up to previous levels of excellence.

Wedding Rooms
The adjoining rooms were perfect for our bridal party to get ready. We had a large crowd that used the bar lobby area on Friday night for socializing and we had plenty of room. Bar tender was on duty and friendly. Rooms were large and comfortable.
