Make sure you don’t get handicapped accessible
Somehow we ended up with a handicapped accessible room that left much to be desired. There was barely room to navigate around the bed but the bathroom was overly expansive and the shower was like a locker room shower. Also, until the construction is done around the hotel, I would maybe opt for another city. Construction and sirens literally didn’t stop all night.

Perfect anniversary weekend hotel
Our anniversary weekend stay at the Elyton was amazing! I requested a high-floor room with a view and notified the hotel of our anniversary - they gave us the highest floor corner room and a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries! Our stay was more than we could have hoped and we will definitely be staying there again! Location is also fantastic - walkable to great restaurants and bars.

Disappointing
Having travelled extensively, we have become accustomed to a reasonable correlation of comfort to price per night when choosing a hotel to stay at. Under the impression that the Elyton was one of the nicer choices in Birmingham, we accepted what are, realistically, rates more suited to somewhere like New York City in the hopes that we would have a phenomenal stay. We were a bit disappointed to realize that it is actually a very low-touch service hotel with a room design reminiscent of a gym locker room and a rooftop bar that feels (and smells) like a poorly attended frat party.

Stylish Hotel
The rooms are super stylish and cozy. We went to Moonshine on a Saturday night for delicious moonshine cocktails and wood burning oven pizza. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had brunch the next morning at the yard which was great.

Must Stay
The Elyton was amazing. I chose the hotel initially because it was near our dinner reservation location and it was a Marriott property. The room was above and beyond what I thought it would look like. It was very nice and incredibly spacious. I highly recommend.

The gentleman with long hair, with the beautiful girl that enjoyed their stay!
I loved it! The people there made me feel right back at home, I used to live there! It had been 30 years since my last visit.
