THE X7

THE X7

Every legend begins somewhere. Now yours can begin in Aspen at The St. Regis Aspen Resort in the biggest BMW ever built—the BMW X7. Available for local transfers in Aspen’s core or a test drive into the majestic mountains, with one look through the panoramic glass roof, it’s clear. This level of luxury takes you places.

The BMW X7 is available for resort guests to reserve complimentary. Listed below are two destinations that make for an exquisite half-day adventure.

Colorado's Independence Pass - 18 miles east of Aspen on Highway 82

Summit 12,095 feet on Independence Pass, the highest paved mountain pass that also crosses the U.S. Continental Divide. Due to heavy snowfall during the wintertime, the pass is closed isolating Aspen from the east. Along the drive, you may encounter gushing waterfalls, scampering marmots, avid rock climbers, and summertime skiers! This drive is also famous for being part of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge route since 2011.
Ashcroft Ghost Town - 11 miles south of Aspen on Castle Creek Road
Guided Tours available Mid-June through September

Situated within the Ashcroft Valley is a nationally registered historic ghost town called "Ashcroft." Originally this town was founded as a silver mining camp, but today stands deserted amidst soaring peaks and stunning scenery. Take a guided tour with the Aspen Historical Society, and enjoy lunch at the famous Pine Creek Cookhouse while savoring the majestic views. Backcountry hiking trails are also accessible from this drive.
