Green Initiatives

Guestroom Initiatives
Reusing guestroom keys that are turned in at check out.
Guests are asked to participate in our green housekeeping program to help reduce water usage. This includes not changing bed sheets or refreshing towels.
Recycyling bins in every guestroom.
Clean the World Partnership
Partners with Clean the World, a Global Hygiene Revolution to distribute recycled soup and hygiene products to children and families in countries with a high death rate due to acute respiratory infection and diarrheal diseases.

In a six-month period:

9,382 bars of soap distributed
1,844 lbs. of soap collected
1,844 lbs. of plastic collected
EcoLab Partnership
Partners with EcoLab to reduce water intensity by 15%, to reduce carbon intensity by 30%, and to reduce landfill waste by 45% by the end of 2025.

The cleaning products we use have chemicals made from plant derived natural resources, are biodegradable, have zero volatile organic compounds, and are certified by Green Seal and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Bio Preferred program."
Food and Beverage Initiatives
Linen napkins and leather coasters are used instead of cocktail napkins.
We offer paper or corn-plastic straws which are biodegradable and compostable.
To go boxes are biodegradable and to go cups are made with paper products.
Catered events use all chinaware and cloth napkins.
Lights are turned off when meeting spaces are not in use.
Recology Partnership
Partners with Recology to recycle and compost throughout the hotel.
Recology implements recycling programs to recover recyclables, reduce landfill
bound materials, return organic materials to farms as compost, and provide recycled raw materials (such as plastic or aluminum) to manufacturers.
Food Runners Partnership
Partners with Food Runners, a volunteer-based grass roots organization that picks up excess perishable and prepared Food and delivers it directly to neighborhood Food programs.
