Al Dafna Ballroom

Our biggest event space, Al Dafna Ballroom measures 3,300 square meters and has the seating capacity of 3,000 theater-style; 1,600 banquet; 2,500 reception; 1,400 classroom seating.

Al Majlis Hall

Al Majlis is 1,100 square meters in size and has the seating capacity of banquet: 500; theater: 900; reception: 750; classroom: 400; U-shape: 80; square: 90.

Al Rayan Conference Hall

Al Rayyan Conference Hall is 504 square meters in size and has the seating capacity of banquet: 200; theater: 300; reception: 300; classroom: 250; U-shape: 50; square: 60.

Salwa Ballroom

Salwa is 1,012 square meters in size and has the seating capacity of banquet: 500; theater: 900; reception: 1000; classroom: 440; U-shape: 130; square: 140.

Emiri Lounge

Sheraton Grand Doha is the only hotel in Doha to have a private Majlis and meeting area for the Royal Emir during government conventions.

Dukhan Meeting Room

Dukhan Meeting Room is 284 square meters in size and has the seating capacity of banquet: 100; theater: 70; reception: 100; classroom: 60; U-shape: 35; square: 35.

Setup Example

Reception

Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.

Ovals and Rounds

Generally used for meals and sessions involving small group discussions. A five foot round table seats eight people comfortably. A six foot round table seats 10 people comfortably.

Theater

Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.

Generally used for meals and sessions involving small group discussions. A five foot round table seats eight people comfortably. A six foot round table seats 10 people comfortably.

Conference and Hollow Square

Appropriate for interactive discussions and note-taking sessions for fewer than 25 people. Many hotels have elegant "boardrooms" for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.

E-shape, U-shape and T-shape

Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.
