Marbella

Nestled between the Sierra Blanca Mountains and the Costa del Sol, the city of Marbella is dazzlingly cosmopolitan, while still maintaining its quintessentially Spanish character.

After leaving your Marbella hotel room, stroll down the cobblestone streets in the city’s old quarter, where there are plenty of boutiques and art galleries. The centre of Old Town is nicknamed “Orange Square,” thanks to the dozens of orange trees that call the area home. Los Naranjos Plaza provides a nice downtown oasis for soaking up the sun on a park bench or stopping for tapas and drinks. Nearby Santiago Apóstol Chapel and Casa del Corregidor are both over 500 years old and are some of the most beautiful buildings in Marbella. Our hotel guests also shouldn’t miss the extensive collection of Salvador Dali sculptures at Avenida de Mar or the Picasso Museum, home to some of the Spanish artist’s most famous works.

For outdoor fun, you can take a leisurely walk along the Paseo Marítimo, Marbella’s paved beachside promenade or climb the stairs to the top of the Alcazaba Arabic fortress––or simply spend an afternoon enjoying the seashore. Nearby Puerto Banus, Marbella’s exclusive marina, is surrounded by upscale restaurants, bars and even an almost three-tonne rhinoceros sculpture by Dalí! Enjoy fresh seafood and waterfront views at restaurants like Piucaro. The fun is never far from our accommodation in Marbella.
