Huntingdon

Huntingdon is a historic town in Cambridgeshire, England, and was built as early as 1205. The best way to start your visit is to go on the Historic Town Trail, a self-guided walking tour around Huntingdon attractions, such as the Town Hall, the "Thinking Soldier" war memorial, All Saints' Church and the Falcon Inn. History buffs will also love the Cromwell Museum, the only one of its kind, and the Manor in Hemingford Grey. Once you have taken in much of its history, there are many other places to visit in Huntingdon. The River Great Ouse offers excellent riverside walks, Hinchinbrooke County Park is perfect for a relaxed hike, while Grafham Water Centre has a range of activities such as paddle boarding, swimming and cycling. Another popular attraction in Huntingdon is a visit to the Houghton Mill, a water mill located in a picturesque setting along the River Great Ouse. The building is a tourist centre, but flour is actually still produced here. Guests who want to relax and unwind after a day of exploring will enjoy the quaint feeling of Huntingdon's historic High Street, St. Benedicts Court and Chequers Court, which offer a great mix of shops, restaurants, and pubs.
