A Breath of Fresh Air — Marriott Going Smoke-Free

Worldwide Change is in the air. An increasing number of our lodging brands are going smoke-free across the world. This follows a decision made in 2006 when all of Marriott’s properties in North America were made smoke-free. This global effort represents the industry’s largest move to a non-smoking environment, with more than 2,800 hotels and corporate apartments and nearly 400,000 guest rooms under the Marriott, JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance, Courtyard, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, Fairfield Inn, TownePlace Suites and Marriott ExecuStay brands. Please note that implementation of this policy is not mandatory for Marriott properties outside of the United States and Canada. For international hotels that choose to adopt the policy, however, it covers all guest rooms, restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, public space and employee work areas. Adoption of this policy is usually in response to an increasing demand from guests as they become more aware of new information from medical researchers on the hazards of secondhand smoke.

We look forward to seeing you — so you can experience the clear difference that Marriott offers.
