Our thoughts and prayers are with the guests, associates and their families affected by the September 20 bombing outside the Islamabad Marriott. The extent of injuries and deaths resulting from this incident is still being confirmed. However, to date we know that 29 associates have tragically lost their lives.
The hotel’s owner, Sadruddin Hashwani, is personally committed to making provisions for the victims and their families. Additionally, Marriott International and The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation are making contributions to the Islamabad Marriott Assistance Fund, a fund established through United Way that will provide financial assistance to the associates and their families affected by the tragedy.
