The Royal Lazienki is a charming must-see palace and garden complex, which stretches within the area of nearby 80 hectares, with lots of trees, flowers, birds, including regal peacocks, and squirrels. At first this was a royal zoo that King Stanislaw August Poniatowski turned into a garden in the 18th century, giving it its present Classicist shape. The most magnificent building in the park is the Palace on the Water.
