Dupont Circle (21 of 28)

Dupont Circle became a hub of commerce and home to embassies based on city plans created by George Washington and his architect buddy Pierre Charles L'Enfant. Maybe it's the fact that George never told a lie, or maybe it's that he wore wooden teeth, but people seemed to trust decisions our first President made and Dupont Circle has remained an integral part of Washington, DC's business and social scene to this day.
