Wenceslas Square (41 of 57)

Wenceslas Square is one of the main centres of Prague's business and cultural communities in the New Town area which began as a horse market. Many historical events occurred here such as the demonstrations leading to the Velvet Revolution where people shook their keys as a symbol of their desire for freedom and it is a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations, public shows, seasonal markets and other public gatherings. The metro runs direct from Flora to Wenceslas Square in just three stops.
