St. Michaelis Church of Hamburg (31 of 46)

St. Michaelis, called Michel, is one of Hamburg's five main Protestant churches and the most famous church in the city. The 132 meter high baroque spire entirely covered with copper is a prominent feature of Hamburg's skyline and has always been a landmark for ships sailing up the river Elbe. © Dirk Rotermundt.
