The Blackistone Lighthouse is located on St. Clements Island off of Colton's Point, MD in the Potomac River. It's a piece of history that literally defines and describes the state of Maryland. This is where the original colonists from England landed. On March 25, 1634, 200 colonists waded to shore, took possession of the land, and proclaimed the very first policy of religious tolerance in America.

A National Historic Landmark, Sotterley has been home to generations of prominent families including that of the sixth Governor of Maryland, and later, the daughter of financier J.P. Morgan.
