- Driving directions: Follow signs for M56 (Manchester City Centre). At the end of the M56 keep in the right hand lane, moving to the A5103 (Princess Street). Carry straight on for approximately 6 miles. At the end of Princess street turn left onto the A57. At the end of the A57 turn right at the traffic lights, and right again onto Water Street. The V&A is situated at the end of Water Street on the left.

- Hotel direction: 77.2 km
- Driving directions: Liverpool Airport - Follow route to Manchester, picking up M56. Take the M56, following signs for Manchester until you pick up the A5103. Travel along the A5103 for approximately six miles until you reach the 1st roundabout, at which point take the first exit signposted A57(M). When on M57(M), move over to right-hand lane. After 1/2 mile, you will come to a set of traffic lights, at which point turn right then immediately right again at the City Centre sign. Hotel is approximately 1/3 mile down on the left of Water Street.<p>From London and the South: Join the M25 orbital and head north on the M1 to Junction 19. Take signposted route M6 Birmingham. Continue on M6 to Junction 21A signposted M62. Follow M62 for Manchester and Liverpool. Stay on M62, following signs for Manchester and M602. At the end of M602, take the right-hand lane signposted A57 Manchester. Continue down the A57 for one mile until you see the large Grosvenor Casino. Follow directions from Scotland above.
